You: It is not at all obvious to me. I think that molecules organizing in a jar might be a rather good example of life in its simplest form. You have convinced me of nothing but that there are cases that are "obvious" to me but not to you and, perhaps, vice versa.
Aaron: All that matters is that we agree that some things are alive and that unliving things never turn into living things. That is my point.
Aaron: But we only agree on half of that statement. I agree that some things are alive, but animals take in unliving food and turn it into living flesh every day of their lives. I see this as evidence of life from unlife.
Aaron: And I do not. We have reached an impasse.
