You: How can we tell when a person has been blinded by his desires?
Aaron: The simplest example of a person who is being led by his own desires is one who acts evilly but shows no guilt for his actions.
You: Before we can be sure that the person is acting evilly, we must have some standard to judge him by.
Aaron: And we have a standard for judgment. As I have said before, God is the standard by which all good things are judged.
You: And how can we tell what God's standards are?
Aaron: Those who know God know what good is. It is something felt in the heart, a stirring when one reads the Lord's revealed truth or sees an example of Christian charity.
You: But how can we tell that these individuals who "know God" are not interpreting his message incorrectly because of desires of their own? A person who has been "blinded" by desire may very well think that he is acting in accordance with God's wishes.
Aaron: One must have faith in Lord. When you have the true faith, the warmth of the Holy Spirit fills your soul, all your questions are answered, and the answers are both unambiguous and clear.
