You: Then how can I understand God's goodness? If I'd have to be omniscient to know how God would act in a situation, then how can I know whether God's actions are good or not?

Aaron: God is good and from that it follows that his actions are good. We must learn by them, no matter how hard that may be. It sometimes takes a great deal of meditation and soul searching before we can reach the truth, and sometimes the truth is beyond our meager ability to understand.

You: I don't mind arguing that the concept of good implies a god — no matter how poor that argument may be — but I will not allow you to say that God can be proven to exist because there is goodness in the world and God is good. That is just as persuasive as arguing that electric blue nightmare demons can be proven to exist because there are blue things in the world and these demons are so very blue.

Aaron: Well, if you are not going to allow me that line of reasoning, then I will have to try another.
