You: It sounds to me like you are talking about willful ignorance. Perhaps the feeling of peace you are talking about comes from deciding that you don't have to work to find the truth?

Aaron: I don't have to work toward the truth because I already know the truth of God's love. I feel peace because I know that the world is in his hands.

You: You feel peace because you have all the answers, not because they are the truth. People with faith, it seems to me, are unable to deal with the uncertainties of reality so they trade truth for security.
