Aaron: You are obviously too set in your beliefs for my arguments to have any impact.
You: I am comfortable with what I believe, but I am willing to change if I am given a good enough reason to.
Aaron: Well, I have given you all the best reasons that I can think of. Perhaps, if you were to read the Bible...
You: I have and it has done nothing but make me more firm in my resolve.
Aaron: Well, I appreciate your time.
You: And I yours.
You close the door as Aaron turns away. It has been an interesting afternoon, and a good test of your beliefs. As you sit back down on the couch and retrieve your book from the coffee table, you can't help feeling a little saddened that the conversation is over. Well, there are always others.
