You: I do not believe that there is a balance at all. I will agree with you that certain forms of life depend on others for survival, and that all life would cease to exist if the rains stopped falling or the sun winked out tomorrow, but I do not believe that we can infer some kind of balance from this. The orderliness of nature does not imply a balance any more than the orderliness of a government does.
