You: That's mighty handy. If God does something that appears to be good, then he's being good. If he does something that appears to be evil, then we just don't understand his motivations.

Aaron: I am not arguing for my own convenience, as you would so like to imply. The Bible teaches us that God is good and that is backed up by my own faith. There is no way you could show me that this is not true.

You: Precisely my point; there is no way to tell. Imagine, if you will, that God is evil. How would we know?

Aaron: Simply. His actions would be evil. Even if the Bible did not tell us so, we would know that Satan is evil by his actions.

You: Now wait a minute, perhaps the evil acts that God performs are showing his true nature, and there is actually a hidden, evil purpose behind every seemingly good act?

Aaron: Ridiculous! The Bible...

You: The Bible might be just another creation of an evil God, placed on the Earth to mislead people, to placate them and make them docile. In fact, hoards of unthinking minions, ready to do anything at the whim of their holy masters seems like just the thing an evil God would want.
