You: No, I'm not. All I'm saying is that less technologically advanced peoples may not have been able to explain the world as well as we are.

Aaron: Then how can you tell when an historical person is talking about a true miracle or merely describing an event he doesn't understand?

You: I can't, but as there are no miracles happening now, I can reasonably assume that they never happened.

Aaron: You don't see the evolution of species or the creation of the universe from a "big bang" now, but you are more than willing to believe that they occurred.

You: We don't live long enough to see speciation, and the creation of the universe was a one-time occurrence, but both leave evidence which we can check. There is no evidence for miracles.

Aaron: But how can you ignore so many historical accounts of miracles? Surely there should be some weight given to them considering their number.
